Innomed, Inc. introduced the Kaufman Gap Jack Assembly. Designed by Basil Kaufman, MD, this unique surgical device is designed for tensioning and balancing ligaments during total knee arthroplasty. Both compartments are simultaneously but independently tensioned by the same device and not two separate spreaders as is the usual method. It allows for accurate determination of femoral rotation. The device can be used with the patella reduced so that any lateral tightness caused by the everted patella is eliminated. The release can be performed with the device in situ.

Innomed, Inc. also exhibited instruments for standard and minimally invasive hip and knee surgery, shoulder, trauma, small bone, arthroscopic and revision surgery. Innomed, Inc. continues to introduce new and innovative instruments for orthopedic surgery. We offer an array of unique instruments and patient positioning devices, designed by or in conjunction with orthopedic surgeons.

What makes an UltraGraft? Increasing the safety of human allograft tissue is of significant importance and of great benefit to patients. Often, the decision to use an autograft rather than an allograft tissue is based on the perceived risk of viral or bacterial transmission. Until now, no technology has been capable of substantially reducing all types of pathogens in biological products without the use of low-dose irradiation, while maintaining the integrity of the underlying protein in the product. UltraGraft products are allograft tissue products put through a novel and validated sterilization system called: T106 Terminal Sterilization System. All tissues are terminally sterilized to {SAL 10-6} through a proprietary sterilization system free of irradiation.
